WILI-WILI - No.1 priority in West Mali

Location: Wili-Wili and West Wili-Wili are located south of the Yatela, Sadiola and Loulo world-class gold mines.

Highlights: Grassroots exploration carried out led to an important gold discovery. Wili-Wili is now Robex’ priority in West Mali.

Soil-geochemistry identified a gold–arsenic anomaly, 2.8km x 600m, coinciding with two structural systems visible on the regional MAG map. Re-sampling of old pits from the north-central part of the anomaly revealed high gold values.

IP resistivity geophysical surveys were carried out following a 100-meter line spacing and have covered a 1,1km by 1,5km area (linear distance of 18km) over the Fandou zone and a 1,5km by 3,0km area (linear distance of 48km) over the Mamoudouya zone.

Fandou Zone

The Fandou Zone is located at the south-western extremity of Wili-Wili, on the border of the Wili-Wili West permit. It is characterized by a strong gold anomaly measuring 2.8km x 600m. At the centre of this anomaly, in the northern section, pits samples returned strong gold grades. An east-west trench, cut in the Fandou Zone graded 13m at 2.29g/t Au and two pits dug out on this trench returned interesting values.

The IP resistivity geophysical survey over Fandou shows 4 well-developed resistivity axis oriented N0° in an area wedged between a very resistive homogenous zone oriented N15° to the west, and a very conductive homogenous zone oriented N0° to the east.

These 4 resistivity axis coincide with the Au-As anomaly discovered in June 2006. The resistivity axis N° 1 coincides in the Northern part with the N° 1 trench that returned 2,29g/t Au over 13m and where 5 pits had returned grades between 3 and 12g/t Au over 9m.

Fandou, Drilling results 2007

The following table shows the most significant results obtained on Fandou. Grades inferior to 1g/t Au were not considered.

In hole WR 139, interval 92–114m intersected 4,20g/t Au over 22m, that is 12m at 3.61g/t between 92–104m, followed by 9m at 5.37g/t, between 105 and 114m. Note that this hole ended in mineralization.  We can probably expect mineralization to continue below metre 115.

Drilling on Mamoudouya did not return significant results.

Conclusions on the program

The goal for this drilling program was to better define and to enlarge the known mineralized zone on surface and at depth.

The results of this first drilling program on Fandou are very encouraging. Almost all the holes intersected gold mineralization and drilling has defined a mineralized zone stretching over 700m from north to south.

Recent development: Robex intersects on surface the Wili-Wili mineralized zone

In March 2008, surface work has exposed and located on surface, the high grade mineralized zone intersected in drill hole WR-139, that is 4.2g/t over 22m.

The data collected seems to confirm that mineralization on the Fandou zone, Wili-Wili property, is vertical and continuous. This work will allow Robex to plan infill drilling to begin resource definition.

The digging of 14 pits averaging 10m in depth, indicates that mineralization is sub-vertical with an 80-degree east inclination. The spacing of the pits, the estimated inclination and the fact that the intersection in hole WR-139 is at least 22 metres wide (hole stopped in mineralization) allows us to assume that the real width of mineralization in that section would be about 12 metres wide.
