Montreal - Robex
Resources Inc. (TSX-V: RBX) is pleased to announce that the first trench dug in the Fandou area of its Wili-Wili property located in West Mali, has intercepted a 13-metre wide mineralized zone grading 2.29 g/t Au. Two of the three pits dug in the same trench have returned values of 1.96 and 3.58 g/t Au over 4 and 5 metres deep respectively. The positive results obtained at Wili-Wili add to the positive results obtained by Robex with the drilling program recently carried out at Nampala (see Press Release 18-06 of December 19, 2006).
The lithologies identified in the trenches and in the pits are greywackes, shales and silts typically found in the birrimian formation found in this area and are associated with numerous quartz veins forming networks of veins and veinlets (stockworks) more or less continuous. Projected exploration work Exploration work in the coming months will consist of the opening of new trenches and in the digging of complementary pits in the Fandou zone. A detailed soil-geochemistry survey will cover a vast zone surrounding the Fandou anomaly to evaluate additional zones that have not yet seen work. An IP survey might be undertaken to define drilling targets. Drilling will start in March 2007 on the Fandou Zone. In early February important bulldozing work will start to improve access to this zone, in particular south of the Falémé River. Simultaneously, Robex follow up exploration works on its N’Golopene property, adjacent to the Syama Mine in South Mali, where a recent feasibility study carried out by Resolute mining showed that the resources, all categories included, now stand at more than 47 MT at a grade of 3.0 g/t gold, for approximately 6,4 M oz gold. In the next few weeks, Robex will initiate a drilling program at N’Golopene over soil-geochemical and geophysics (I.P.) targets Robex Resources Inc TSX-V: RBX is a Canadian mining exploration and development company focusing on Mali, West Africa.
